I like that some of my favourite people do things for a living that I don’t understand. It means I get to learn from them different ways of interpreting the world.
So for instance, when I’m ill but can’t take a sick day because of work responsibilities that I can’t hand off: my husband might call this an example of key man risk, while my friend Mich explains it as single point of failure.
Regardless of the vocabulary – it still stinks to not be able to pass out when your body calls for it. Which is pretty much what happened to me today.
And now my brain’s too wired up from a full day’s work (aided by caffeine) that I can’t fall asleep properly…
